Community Support

Inclusive Swim provides specialised community support services delivered by qualified swimming instructors who are also trained and experienced support workers. This unique combination allows us to support individuals both in and out of the water to build confidence, independence and safety skills.

Our community support is designed to extend beyond traditional supports by using swimming, aquatic environments and community-based activities as a foundation for connection, regulation and skill development. Supports are delivered to ensure that participants feel safe, understood and empowered.

Because our team are both qualified instructors and support workers, we are uniquely positioned to integrate water safety, physical development and daily living skills into meaningful community experiences. Supports can be delivered at aquatic facilities, in community settings, or through tailored outings aligned with individual goals.

Community participation support through Inclusive Swim may focus on:

  • Water safety and drowning prevention in real-world environments

  • Building confidence and independence in community settings

  • Developing routine, structure and transitions

  • Sensory regulation through movement and water-based activities

  • Improving strength, mobility and coordination

  • Social connection and communication skills

  • Safe participation in aquatic and recreational activities

All supports are tailored to the individual and delivered at a pace that respects their needs, preferences and comfort levels.

Our approach ensures community support is not only safe and effective, but also engaging, empowering and enjoyable.

Inclusive Swim is committed to creating inclusive, supportive environments where individuals of all ages can build skills, confidence and connection—both in the water and in the community.
